KGIP’s co-founder Rick Gervais oversees the company’s managed portfolio of approximately 17 million square feet throughout the greater Seattle, Portland and Bay Area markets. Rick focuses on the strategy and direction of KGIP, and manages a team of 73 real estate professionals.
He is directly involved in KGIP’s development projects, including initial acquisition, entitlement, design and construction. He is dedicated to meeting and exceeding today’s standards in green development and each new project is designed to meet LEED guidelines.
With more than 30 years of experience in asset and property management and development, he is exceptionally qualified to provide guidance and support to West Coast commercial real estate investors. Rick has developed key relationships with institutional clients, such as Principal Global Investors, AEW Real Estate, Industrial Property Trust, as well as many private investors.
Before founding KG, Rick was Senior Vice President for Spieker Properties, managing the company’s office and industrial portfolio of 6 million square feet. He also served as Vice President of the Wells Fargo Real Estate division, directly sourcing and underwriting more than $300 million in construction and permanent financing.
