A KGIP team member since 2008, Andrew Coates is responsible for the financial underwriting and analysis of the company’s developments, investments and real estate advisory assignments. In addition, he assists with acquisitions and dispositions, investment and development strategies, tenant negotiations, permits and entitlements, and pre-construction and market research. While at KGIP, Andrew has completed over 1.5 million square feet of commercial development, currently has over 2 million square feet of projects under construction, and is working on entitlements and or permits for close to 5 million square feet.
Prior to joining KGIP, Andrew started his commercial real estate career with Colliers International, where he served as part of a highly successful Investment Sales team specializing in the disposition of retail properties.
While with Colliers, he participated in the underwriting, marketing, negotiating and closing of more than $270 million worth of completed transactions. Andrew is a graduate of The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in finance and real estate.
