Chris Folkestad

Chris joined KGIP in January 2025 serving as a property manager for industrial and office properties. Chris handles financial reporting, operating budgets, capital projects, tenant improvement oversight, lease administration, as well as tenant and vendor relations. He excels at successfully implementing ownership directives while delivering superior service to tenants.

Chris’ professional experience includes more than 7 years of commercial property management experience of that include Class A office towers, historic buildings and industrial properties. Additionally, Chris spent 10 years as the corporate property lead in banking, insurance, and medical industries. During this time, he has led teams managing office leases, a regional bank portfolio of properties, and an eclectic blend of construction for logistics centers, C-suite headquarters, pharmacy, dental, and outpatient medical facilities, including the property management of those locations.

He has been an active member of a property and land use advisory committee for the largest private athletic and social club in the United States, and a board member of the Oregon and SW Washington International Facilities Management Association (IFMA).  He holds the IFMA Certified Facility Manager (CFM) designation and is a licensed real estate broker in Oregon and Washington. Chris received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communications from Oregon State University.

In his spare time Chris is involved with activities of his children, skiing, exercise, reading, and taming the jungle in his backyard, which, when lucky, allows for a small cornucopia that manages to qualify him as a gentleman estate gardener.
