Databricks expands at City Center Bellevue
By Nick Pasion
Databricks Inc., a data and artificial intelligence company in San Francisco, is again expanding its Bellevue footprint, permits show.
The company has filed tenant renovations for about 18,000 square feet in City Center Bellevue at 500 108th Ave. NE. It’s at least the third time that Databricks has added office space in the Puget Sound area over the past two years.
A Databricks spokeswoman Monday confirmed the space and said that it will help to accommodate current and future growth.
“The area, known for its tech ecosystem and strong talent pool, is an excellent place for us to grow our team,” Grant Holder, Databricks’ senior director of global real estate and workplace, told the Business Journal in November.
The company has expanded gradually, adding floor by floor to its Seattle-area portfolio rather than scooping it all up at once.
Last May, Databricks said it had leased at least one floor in West 8th in Denny Triangle. In November, it confirmed more space in City Center Bellevue. The latest one-floor acquisition brings its occupancy in the Bellevue tower to at least five floors, permits show.
Eric Haehl and Jason Furr of the Broderick Group are the City Center Bellevue’s brokers. Broderick lists the price per square foot between $64 to $69. The building is 88% leased, according to the brokerage.
