The Signature Center is a two building Class A, multi-tenant commercial office project, which includes one four story building located at 5000 Hopyard Road, and one three story building located at 4900 Hopyard Road, and two adjacent parking structures.
In collaboration with KGIP, DSD Renewables (DSD) and Black Bear Energy successfully completed a rooftop solar system installation at the Signature Center buildings in Pleasanton, California in 2023. The Signature Center buildings are owned by Principal Real Estate, the dedicated real estate investment team within Principal Asset Management. The 282 kW (4900 Hopyard Road) and 272 kW (5000 Hopyard Road) solar systems will serve a large portion of the buildings’ electricity needs and are expected to collectively produce about 940,000 kWh of clean energy per year, the equivalent of removing 143 cars from the road annually. The solar projects are the first in a series of four office campuses owned by Principal Real Estate managed accounts that will include rooftop solar, carport solar, and energy storage. The project was a success, and the official ribbon cutting was held in April 2023!
