Broadway Tower- Water Loss Claim

Broadway Tower is a Class A mixed-use building comprised of office, retail, and hotel.  Floors nine through 19 provide 175,000 sf of office space, floors three through eight a 180-room hotel, and a five-level subterranean parking garage.

In late 2022, an unforeseen incident involving an interior HVAC system, not managed or maintained by KGIP, burst causing significant damage.  Multiple floors of the building, all four elevator cabs servicing the office tower floors nine through 19 and the building lobby were impacted.

KGIP manages the building association, therefore, we were responsible for the successful remediation and repairs of this multi-million-dollar claim.

While quickly working on remediation and assessment of the large scope of damage, KGIP management team worked to implement strategies to minimize impact to both tenants and hotel operations.  Communication was the focus, along with alignment with remediation and repair vendors we had built relationships with and were committed to focusing on our project.

KGIP’s advocating for coverage of claim scope and attention to many details contributed to a successful and timely completion of work with little impact to the tenants and hotel operations.
